Street Fighter 4 introduces focus attacks to the revamped game play style, which is one way that SF4 stands far apart from the previous releases. The Focus attack allows a player to counter an attack by absorbing the opponents attack and refocusing that energy in the form of a counter attack. The precise timing (holding down the medium punch and kick buttons down on the arcade version) will result in a crippling effect to the opponent, stunning them for a length of time depending on how long you hold down the button combo. Performed correctly, you’ll obliterate your opponent in no time.
